Hi Doc,
Interesting Podcast. I am floored over what you are saying. Ignorant people are controllable. The enemy wants us stupid to control us and keep us away from G-d. Lies are easy to pass off.
I wonder if the lack of teaching the fear of G-d goes along with my frustration with Churches not really teaching the Bible. All I hear, well mostly, is I had a success in my life, praise Jesus. The Preachers are not preparing those spiritually to understand what is going on and how to protect themselves, how to go out and do G-ds work, and save souls. Is it because they want to water down the Bible for fear of loosing a congregation? Jesus challenged the Pharisees (spelling?) and challenged their authority, forget who he really was, they didn’t want to loose their position of authority in society. The Bible is a “take it as the factual word of G-d” all or leave it. If one questions the validity then they don’t believe. Maybe I am wrong or too black and white on the matter.
Bible is easy to Validate, aside from historical facts. The modern miracles we have seen, The birth of Israel, resurrection of Hebrew, the use of the Shekel, Being surrounded by enemies, and their ability to keep the better well equipped and numerically superior Arab Muslim armies from “wiping them off the map”. Look at the miracle of the 1948 independence war. Or what about the 7 day war, didn’t Israel rest on the 7th day? These things were foretold in the Bible at least 2000 years ago, and we are seeing it right now. Whats incredible is it not interpretable, it is matter of fact.
Incredible you say, if you don’t understand and pray to G-d to understand. I never could understand the Bible, despite even having a formal education in it early in my life at a Christian school. It took me, sitting in a hotel in Memphis, telling G-d I don’t understand and don’t trust what man tells me. Then asking G-d to show me the proof he is real, no preachers, no man. And bang, I saw from that day forward and you know as we’ve talked about it. So anyone who says otherwise, I say they are not sincere when asking G-d. I struggled with trying to understand it for over 30 years (even with a formal education for many years) and I had no luck. That one 30 minute prayer on that fateful day in August back in 2010 changed it.
Another Reason to study prophecy = Its proof the Bible is the real deal in a sea of false religions and false prophets.
I am scared for my wife Doc. You know why. Maybe I’ve not done a good job and I am failing thru my own actions. Maybe It get it right when there is 1 second left on the clock. My oldest Boy, he’s good. I am working on the other boys, she’s trying to compete with me. I know I will win with that. I deal with facts and show them, just like Satrio my oldest. She just talks. She told me she doesn’t know whats in her “Holy Book”. And she won’t engage me in an open book discussion. So, I am not worried about my other 2 boys-cant argue with facts. I am so worried for her.
Funny you reference Petra Doc. I saw something a little while back where someone was doing some sort of analysis of Muhummad. Focused in on something in regards to Mecca. This person arrived at it actually being Petra. It could be non-sense as I have never looked into it to see the details, but interesting.
Michael, one of the things we learn from God is to have patience and never give up. I appreciate your knowledge, but have you surrendered your heart to Him? Fitri will respond to a sincere surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior while she will remain indifferent to a discussion about simply “God” Who, of course, is also Jesus Christ. You are very special, Michael, to me and to Jesus. Surrender, Michael. That’s when the power of God takes over!
