Impact of the Rapture and Second Coming on the Earth?

It has come to my mind quite often that events such as the Rapture and the Second Coming, separated by at least seven years and more probably as much as ten years, obviously have amazing effect on Christians since we are removed from the Earth in the Rapture and come back to the Earth with the Lord Jesus in the Second Coming. But, could it be that such magnificent power exercised by God in both of these two dramatic events has overwhelming effect not only on us as believers but also on the Earth itself and on the people “left behind” in the Rapture and those remaining alive at the Second Coming? Seems that such enormous power exercised by God could overflow and affect other things like the conditions on the Earth and the senses of those either left behind at the Rapture or alive at the time of the Second Coming!

In order to gain some understanding on the possible impact that Almighty God’s use of His Power on the Earth in the Rapture and the Second Coming and whether those unbelievers that witness these events will not only realize that they are actually happening much less observe lasting effects on the people and the Earth, we need to consider some basics, biblical basics, such as original Creation, the Flood of Noah, and the geophysical and atmospheric changes that we know about that resulted from those mighty acts of God. Then we need to review what God might possibly do through the Rapture and the Second Coming in preparing and restoring the Earth for His Millennial Kingdom.

In this examination of the biblical evidence of what the original Creation was really like and what dramatic changes the global Noahic Flood had on the planet, I will use and reference a 1990’s book by Dr. Carl E. Baugh (creationevidence.org), “Panorama of Creation” plus add much from my own research. We need to examine the original, perfect Creation, and what the first humans, Adam and Eve, experienced on a daily basis in the Garden of Eden and after the Fall. We need to recognize how their life experiences differed from our daily experience today with the temperature, the seasons, lifespans, plants and animals, and much more.

How does all of this fit in with prophecy you may ask? Easy to answer. Prophetically, we know that God has much to come for His total Creation, namely the Tribulation which is destructive, and the Millennium which is restorative and magnificent as well as instructive as a dispensation proving that even if Jesus were visible we, as humans, would still not be able to save ourselves without God. Then, after the Millennium, we know that all of the original Creation is “burned up” since Jesus “let’s go” of His Creation (He “holds all things together” now – Colossians 1:17) and a New Heaven and a New Earth are created, perfect in every way and totally free from sin forever. So, we should be curious just how God could, and I emphasize “could” simply because the exact details of these transformations are not available to us because we are at present just “looking through a glass darkly” (1 Corinthians 13:12), use the Rapture and Second Coming to not only accomplish the primary reasons for them both (removing believers in the Rapture  to be with Christ in Heaven with transformed glorified bodies, and returning with Christ to the Earth at the end of the Tribulation to end Armageddon and set up the Millennium) but also see results on the Earth itself and the remaining people through the mighty power God uses to perform the Rapture and the Second Coming. Think about it! Power unimaginable to perform the Rapture and the Second Coming, occurrences never before seen by anyone, how could such power NOT have lasting effect on the physical Earth and the people on the Earth?

Let’s begin by remembering the evidence of evolution’s lies and deceptions about the existence of the Earth and everything on the Earth as well as the universe being billions of years old. First, Earth’s electromagnetic field has been measured and found to be decreasing in intensity. So what? Our magnetic field filters out harmful ultraviolet radiation, cosmic rays, from the Sun which causes skin cancer and sustains the ozone layer which actually does the ultraviolet filtering. Plus, the magnetic field repels meteors into swerving past the Earth instead of crashing into it. If the magnetic field is decreasing in intensity, does this mean we are more vulnerable to cosmic rays and meteors? It sure does! But how fast is the magnetic field decreasing?

Scientists such as Dr. Thomas Barnes have measured the field’s strength and determined it is decreasing by half or has a half-life of about fourteen hundred years. This means that over every cycle of fourteen hundred years we have gradual decreasing magnetic field power to the extent that half of the magnetic strength that we once had has been lost. Each and every year the magnetic field strength of the Earth which protects us from cosmic rays and steers meteors away is getting weaker. That sounds reasonably safe for us in the present since each year so little field strength is lost, but this decreasing magnetic field is causing increased cancers due to short-wave radiation from the sun which also can affect our DNA resulting in genetic defects that are increasing. The decreasing magnetic field timeframe can also be used to calculate evidence against evolutionary theory that says the Earth is four and a half billion years old. If the magnetic field’s strength is halved every fourteen hundred years, then going back in time just eight to ten thousand years, not millions or even billions of years, the strength of the magnetic field would not allow life to exist. In fact, the intensity of our magnetic field going back just fifteen thousand years would be the same as a magnetic star eliminating all life forms. The Earth must be much less than fifteen thousand years old, in fact, we have shown previously that the age of the Earth from the Bible is about six thousand years starting at Creation in Genesis Chapter One. Is it more or less feasible that the Biblical view is much more believable and reasonable than evolution? You decide, but as for me, I choose the Bible.

Second in our examination of the evidence surrounding the Creation, is the sun which is losing energy. Cannot anyone who considers the enormous sun that we depend upon that has been burning continually for thousands of years, assume that it must be depleting its energy source over time? Our cars run out of gas, our refrigerators get empty, and we ourselves get tired because we use up energy. So does the sun. If we extrapolate back several tens of thousands of years based on what we observe today concerning the characteristics of our sun, the sun would have been larger due to containing more of its original fuel thus causing the Earth to be burned and life impossible. The heat of the sun and the increased gravitational pull of the sun against the Earth due to its increased size would have destabilized Earth’s orbit causing life to cease if we go back in history even a fraction of the billions of years that the Earth is supposed to have existed according to evolution theory.

Evolutionary so-called scientists often ignore real scientific observations such as the sun using up enormous amounts of energy if it has been burning over millions of years causing the sun to decrease in size, or sometimes they just use what is called uniformitarianism which means things stay the same over enormous periods of time which has never been observed and uniformitarianism is unreasonable and illogical. Isn’t it more reasonable and sensible to consider the facts concerning the sun instead of listening to so-called experts tell us what they “think” happened long ago based on theory coming from a depraved mind trying to deny that there is a God out there Who will hold us responsible for our sins? Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:20, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.” Paul introduced 1 Timothy 6 by stating in verses 3-5, “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.” Think about it. It is not a purely scientific argument or examination that is going on concerning evolution and Creation. You cannot matter-of-factly claim things which cannot be observed and tested. The true meaning of science is stating what is found by observation and repeatability of those observations. Neither Creationism nor evolution can be scientifically proven because neither can be observed nor will they ever be observed. What Creationism versus evolution really boils down to is it’s a spiritual argument, nothing less! Is there a God Who created everything perfect and fully functional in a synchronous and symbiotic manner, or did it all come about by pure random chance out of total chaos? Again, you decide, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).

Third, consider the moon. It is receding away from the Earth an inch or two each year. At the present rate if you go back a few tens of thousands of years, nowhere near a million years, the moon would be touching the Earth, not to mention that if the moon got closer and closer to the Earth, its progression toward the Earth would increase gradually due to the Earth’s gravity acting on the moon. Why did this not happen? Because all of the universe was meticulously designed by God, orchestrated magnificently to operate efficiently and sufficiently just six thousand years ago to sustain life in its delicate balance.

What these short and incomplete examinations of the Earth’s magnetic field, the sun, and the moon tell us is that evolution is horribly misleading, deceptive (and indicative of Satan), and dramatically wrong concerning the observable things around us today. But what of the way things on the Earth were before the Flood, even before the Fall of Adam? The Bible has hints for us to consider. This examination will lead us to look at what might and possibly could happen to the Earth when the Rapture and the Second Coming occur in addition to what we know from the Bible about their primary reasons for occurrence.

We must totally ignore all of the false “facts” that evolutionists throw at us because we know biblically what actually happened and how long ago it all happened because we consider the Bible to be the very Word of God, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative. The Bible has many verses that set our minds to wonder about the original Creation. Verses like Genesis 1:6-8, “And God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters’. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

Expand your mind and envision what God is telling us. It is obvious that God separated the water that God originally created into two layers with a “firmament” between them. A firmament is defined as an atmosphere, so God placed atmosphere of our air that we breathe between the two layers of water, one layer of water on the Earth similar to our present oceans and the second layer high above the atmosphere. There is a distinct area approximately eleven miles above the surface of the Earth that the temperature drastically changes to being about 70 degrees below zero. It could be that the upper layer of water was at that level, about 60,000 feet, it was stable and was not in cloud form because of the temperature. The Hebrew word describing this layer is the word “raqia” which means to compress and pound out and stretch out indicating that the upper water layer could have been in the form that scientists at the Livermore National Laboratories discovered when they were experimenting with compressed water at cryogenic or super-cold temperatures which exist at 60,000 feet above the Earth. Hydrogen, one of the elements in water, when compressed under extreme cold conditions becomes near-metallic in nature, forms a crystalline lattice, is transparent, behaves in a fiber optic manner, is superconductive, and is ferromagnetic – much like metal. These characteristics would have an amazing impact on the Earth as we will see.

Some say the water layer above was just a water vapor barrier above the Earth creating what we would call today a cloud or a greenhouse effect barrier. This kind of barrier, however, would have no effect on the shortwave ultraviolet radiation from the sun which ages us today. The sun’s short-wave radiation causes aging, skin cancer, and many other effects of too much sun. The Environmental Protection Agency has said that within just a few years one in three on the Earth will die due to cancer resulting from the sun’s radiation. A simple vapor barrier also could not have maintained a world-wide temperature of about 72 degrees Fahrenheit at night and about 78 degrees during the day which is what was possibly the temperature on the Earth before the Flood of Noah. A water vapor canopy could not have watered the Earth with a mist daily with no rain falling at all as the Bible says in Genesis 2:5. These conditions could have come about only with a God-designed metallic hydrogen canopy at 60,000 feet as we will see.

Under extreme pressure at super cold temperatures, the hydrogen in the high water layer was compressed and energized taking on near-metallic properties resulting in the sun shining through the layer and creating a gentle pink glow continually, 24 hours a day – it never got completely dark. Genesis tells us that God made the sun, the greater light, to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night, but the lesser light was not only the moon but also included the stars and their combined glow through the “raqia” layer high above. The electromagnetic energy from the Earth’s magnetic field then was carried along the elemental lines of the near-metallic hydrogen high level which was essentially fiberoptic in nature. This caused the glow that ruled the night.

Scientists and researchers have found that the most important color in the light spectrum is pink, it is produced from energized hydrogen, and they have found that plants grow better under pink light and people respond positively to pink light by producing norepinephren, a natural tranquilizer and neurotransmitter. This all produced in the antediluvian world a tranquil environment and enabled humans to use their brains more efficiently. Greater plant growth was indicative in pre-Flood days (antediluvian) causing what we find in fossil beds. There are mosses called Lepidodendrons. A modern type of moss from this category is called Lycopsid moss that grows to a maximum height of sixteen inches today. In the fossil record an identical moss was found that grew to be over 100 feet tall before the Flood. Obviously, plants before the Flood and under the metallic canopy (the upper hydrogen layer) grew to enormous sizes. Logically, large animals were needed to control such plant growth, thus dinosaurs. After the Flood with no giant plants, dinosaurs that were on the Ark simply died out for lack of food and decreased life expectancy because of increased short-wave radiation from the sun.

Another benefit from the hydrogen crystalline canopy was a much higher atmospheric pressure. The metallic nature of super cold hydrogen caused the atmospheric pressure before the Flood to be more than double the present 14.7 pounds per square inch. This would result in a higher oxygen ratio in the atmosphere of about 30 percent compared to the twenty-one percent today. This would allow man to run faster, longer, be stronger, have more endurance, heal incredibly fast, and would increase lifespans remarkably. Some have estimated that pre-Flood man could have run 200 miles without tiring! Today we have hyperbaric chambers that can heal an open would overnight because they maintain double the regular atmospheric pressure with increased oxygen. Imagine what it would be like living your life in an Earth-sized hyperbaric chamber! There are certain microbes and germs that cause deadly disease that could not live in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere but can thrive in our oxygen-depleted atmosphere. Before the Flood, certain diseases just did not occur because the disease carriers could not live in the high oxygen content of the atmosphere thus allowing longer life for humans and animals. More oxygen in the air means more oxygen in the water as well leading to healthier life. More oxygen in the water resulted in giant whales and sharks which the fossil record reveals. And evolution has no answer to explain their size. There were dragonflies with three-foot wingspans because of the increased oxygen in the atmosphere. In West Texas, a fossil of a pterodactyl with a wingspan of 52 feet was found. Wow! But this animal could not have flown in our atmosphere with its 14.7 psi atmospheric pressure. But in pre-Flood days with approximately 32 psi, it would have thrived and terrorized many things from the air.

All of this about greater atmospheric pressure due to a metallic hydrogen canopy high above the Earth before Noah’s Flood provides an explanation for the paleontological evidence of very large plants, huge insects, enormous animals, much greater lifespans, and greater strength, faster healing, and smarter humans. Also, catastrophic eruptions of water and molten lava blown high into the atmosphere at the time of Noah’s Flood explains not only the Mid-Atlantic Rift and the Pacific “Ring of Fire” but also the 40 days and 40 nights of rain at the flood event as a result of the hydrogen canopy being destroyed by the unimaginable eruptions from below the Earth’s crust, the catapulting of rock and ash and water vapor into the upper atmosphere, and the debris from the volcanoes causing the upper hydrogen layer to rain down for 40 days and 40 nights. Then, the elimination of the hydrogen canopy after the Flood explains the vast difference in lifespans, in plant and animal size we see now, in so many things once ultraviolet radiation and decreased atmospheric pressure became the norm. The loss of the canopy also explains that God’s promise of never ending life on Earth with a Flood, the rainbow, could now exist because of the direct sunlight refracting through water vapor in the atmosphere, something that was impossible before the Flood of Noah.

Now, let’s turn to prophecy. In Isaiah Chapter 35, the prophet describes a future world that is dramatically different with people living to tremendous ages, where animals are no longer carnivorous, to a coming Millennium where the lion and the lamb will lie down together. Isaiah 35:1 says, “The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.” What this tells us is that the pre-Flood conditions will return in the Millennial Kingdom meaning the Earth could possibly have a metallic hydrogen canopy as before. Isaiah 35:5-6 says, “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.” This shows us the ecology could very well revert back to pre-Flood days, where there could be fast healing, long lives, large plant growth, no deserts, as well as correct levels of pressure, oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen all as it was originally supposed to be.

I am going to go out on a prophetic limb now, so please understand that this is only implied in Scripture, not stated explicitly. I personally see the Rapture as not only a wonderful and exciting event we as Bible-believing, Christ-accepting, God-obedient people are all anticipating as the next prophetic event to happen any day, but also please think of the enormous power that God will use to literally raise the believing dead of the Church Age and transform them and we “who are alive and remain” of the true Christians on the Earth into our new eternal and righteous bodies like unto Jesus’ body. This will be an Earth-shaking, and I believe, an Earth-effecting event. When Saul, as he was called at the time, was on his way to Damascus to arrest Christians and return them to Jerusalem to stand trial and face execution, Jesus appeared to him in a blinding light that blinded him but those with Saul also saw the light, felt the power, but did not understand anything that was said by Jesus to Saul (Acts Chapter 9). I believe that when Christ calls for us to “Come up here!” thus enacting the Rapture of living Christians and the raisings from the dead of countless Christians since the Resurrection plus all the millions of transformations into glorious new bodies, I don’t believe that anyone reading this thinks that Christ coming and calling us to meet Him in the air will not be noticed by all creatures on the Earth in some dramatic manner since the event is accompanied by sounds (the trumpet and Jesus’ Voice), great light (Jesus IS light), and lasting effects on the people and the Earth possibly changing atmospheric conditions setting up what is about to start – the Tribulation. But what will those effects be from those left behind’s perspective?

After the Rapture, God’s Wrath is next to be poured out on the Earth and those left behind by the Rapture. Some of the events of Revelation seem to be impossible to envision under current worldly circumstances. But the Rapture and God’s power that is necessary to be used in that Rapture may start to change the Earth back to pre-Flood conditions leading up to the Millennial Kingdom. Those changes will be formatted to fit well within God’s Wrath to be poured out on the Earth before the Millennium. The earth’s magnetic field could be restored dramatically causing worldwide upheavals coinciding with the Tribulation. Mountains and valleys could and will disappear as Revelation tells us perhaps initiated by the power of the Rapture! Eruptions of volcanoes during the Tribulation could add the necessary materials to the upper atmosphere to lead to another metallic hydrogen canopy being set up for the Millennium. Then, Jesus Christ returns in the Second Coming along with all of us from Heaven when more power from Him will be displayed and affect the Earth completing the transformation of the Earth back to pre-Flood conditions ready for the Millennium with its increased lifespans and Millennial conditions.

Will this happen? We will have to wait and see for sure, but it seems very likely because God seems to do many things in a manner that we can grasp. Could He do all of this in a split second? Of course, but He made the universe and the Earth and all that is in it in six days just so we could understand Him better. Why would He re-create the world for the Millennium any differently? The Earth is probably in for quite a show as well as a lot of trouble when the Tribulation starts. But we will be joyfully with Jesus our Lord and Savior going through the Bema Judgment Seat of Christ and then the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. We do not want our families or our friends to be left behind at the Rapture, so we must share the Gospel with them perhaps preceded with some attention-gathering prophecy discussions? Something to think and pray about. Maranatha!
